IBIS Hotel Upgrade
Download project details Download PDF

The IBIS hotel upgrade consisted of the refurbishment and fit out of the entire Hotel in Clondalkin Dublin including, all four floors and corridors, a restaurant, reception, bar and lounges.

Specifically, works included the complete strip-out of corridors and rooms, general repairs to concrete floors and plaster work as well as upgrading the fire proofing in walls doors and floors.

All electrical and mechanical services upgrades were completed by McKeon Group including:

  • Upgrade and installation of new bathroom facilities including new floor and wall tiles, new shower trays and doors and the replacement of existing shower fittings
  • Alterations to the existing electrical system to allow for the new layout

Finally, works also included all floor and wall finishes – painting, tiling and carpeting as well as furniture fit-out, providing the hotel with a new clean and modern look in line with all other IBIS hotels in the chain.

Works were completed while keeping the hotel fully operational, 24 hours a day ensuring minimum disruption to hotel guests and staff, and ensuring the safety of all staff and members of the public throughout the works.

We accelerated our original programme of works by two weeks enabling each phase of the project to begin without any break between phases.
