In 1990 McKeon Construction* bought its second Toyota Dyna Pickup Truck. She was DOE’d, Insured and taxed every year all the way up to 2009 when she was taken off the road after a hard life. She found herself sitting in the yard for almost two years as no one had the heart to send her to the scrap man.
In 2011, for her 21st Birthday, we decided to give her a new lease of life. After stripping her down to the chassis, sandblasting, treating, repairing, replacing and fabricating, Eoin Gorman painstakingly restored her to her original glory. And, after passing the DOE Test again in September is ready to work another day!
The original Logo and Paintwork was re-created right down to the signature of Tommy Boyle the original sign writer.
Since being restored she has made guest appearances at a wedding in Tyrone, Supported the Dubs through their 2011 All Ireland Victory and appeared on TV3 news!
