We place an emphasis on continuous training and development and work with each individual employee on their career progression goals. Many of our managerial staff started off as general labourers or operatives and through both on and off site training and education have worked their way into more senior roles.
We train our staff in the area of corporate social responsibility to ensure they carry out their day to day activities to the highest ethical standards and minimise the impact they have on the environment.
Health & Safety
Ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors and members of the public is the number one priority at McKeon Group. This influences all decisions made in the company from equipment purchased, work practices, subcontractors used, employee training to HR policies.
Our commitment to Safety starts at the top, with one of our directors, Clíona Molloy as Health & Safety Manager. With a Masters in Health and Safety and a chartered member of IOSH, she ensures that McKeon Group are always up to date with the latest legislation and procedures. All site staff have Safe Pass and Manual Handling training as a minimum along with other relevant courses, while our Foremen have completed CIF’s Managing Safely in Construction Course.
We have an excellent safety record to date, an up to date Safety Statement, strict procedures for vetting subcontractors and regular site safety audits, all of which help us maintain that record.
